Ryan Karlsgodt is a research analyst with UNITE HERE! Local 30, a labor union representing more than 6,000 hotel and hospitality workers in San Diego County. At UNITE HERE!, Ryan tracks legislation, policy, and hotel development in the San Diego region in support of Local 30’s mission to enhance the quality of life of hotel and hospitality workers.

Prior to joining UNITE HERE!, Ryan worked in various capacities for President Barack Obama, including as an associate in the White House Office of Presidential Personnel and as a Presidential Appointee at the U.S. Agency for International Development.

A fourth-generation San Diegan, Ryan spends his spare time supporting progressive causes in San Diego and exploring our beautiful region.
