Norma Jasso, Treasurer

For over 20 years I have served the San Diego community primarily as a mentor and advocate for Latinas through MANA de San Diego’s framework. I joined MANA’s Hermanitas (little sisters) Leadership Team focusing on college preparation in 2011 and created the Tias program in 2016 to support and encourage these students through their college years. Now, I’m ready for the next step – to provide career readiness and find paid internships. Contact me if you have opportunities and paid internships for high school and college students.

I am interested in serving on boards and commissions focused on women and girls, gender equity, education, foster kids, Latinx, and underserved communities.

In my professional life, I have expertise in policy, strategy, finance and regulatory compliance with 23 years in the energy industry and 10 years in the nonprofit sector. I am also a small business owner and President of La Esperanza Development Company, a family business established in 1979.
