Gina Spidel, Alum

RESEARCH ADVISORY COMMITTEE

Gina loves to teach Sociology. She has taught Sex and Gender at Grossmont College, and completed her Master’s thesis on Gender Roles and Expression. Gina inspires her students to help change societal structures and create equity for all members of society. Along the way, she hopes they also learn to be kinder and more compassionate to each other.

In addition to her work at 32nd Street Naval Base, Gina is a Grant Specialist for San Diego State University Research Foundation in the Biology department. She loves Kauai, enjoys snorkeling, and spends time relaxing in the sun whenever she gets a chance.
