Connie Wedel, Alum

RESEARCH ADVISORY COMMITTEE

Connie is a global human resources executive with over two decades of human resources and business experience working with for-profit and not-for-profit companies over six continents. She currently heads the Human Resources function for the Americas for a global immuno-diagnostics company in San Diego.

She is a passionate advocate for women and underrepresented groups in the workplace. She believes that gender pay equity is achievable in our lifetime.

An accomplished practitioner, Connie retains multiple designations and certifications including GPHR, SPHR, and SHRM-SCP. She currently teaches Organizational Behavior to business certificate students at the University of California, San Diego. Connie regularly speaks for recognized Human Resources or Diversity & Inclusion organizations. Local San Diego associations include: SHRM, National & CA Diversity Council, Department of Labor Women’s Bureau, and San Diego State University. She holds an Executive Masters in Human Resources Management from the ILR School at Cornell University and a BS from the University of Iowa.
