Dr. Hei-ock Kim's Bio
Dr. Kim is a leader in data-driven systems change. She has 25 years of success developing sustainable stakeholder engagement, research, and programming toward targeted goals. Dr. Kim specializes in building inclusive workforce and economic participation by mobilizing whole communities to address social justice issues through an intersectional lens. To this end, she founded the Kim Center for Social Balance in 2016 specifically to drive measurable change in eliminating workplace discrimination. Thanks to her leadership, San Diego is spearheading the nation’s first regional LEAPS initiative to significantly 1) reduce workplace sexual harassment, 2) increase childcare for workers, and 3) fortify the economic power of undertapped small business communities through united stakeholder collaboration.
