On November 13, 2019, City of Solana Beach joined 7 cities and the State of California in proclaiming Workplace Gender Equity Day for the first time in history! The Kim Center stood with Mayor David Zito and city councilmembers, and were joined by San Diego County Women’s Commissioners and the community to celebrate.
Workplace Gender Equity Day is a cultural statement of solidarity. In cities like Solana Beach, both employees and employers can feel confident that their elected leaders stand with them in recognizing the pivotal role of gender equity. For when all genders are equally empowered, families are healthier and communities are safer and more prosperous.
